1993 Nissan Hardbody 4x4 V6 Automatic

https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van/cto/d/vancouver-1993-nissan-frontier-4wd-d21/7543071126.html
1993 Nissan Frontier ( D21 hardbody) for sale. $1000 O.B.O. This truck is in great shape in terms of engine and body but there is a significant exhaust leak and the steering needs work done. Still drives but would be best suited as a parts vehicle, or farm work truck for someone who knows/likes to work on older trucks.
The Good:
- The engine in great shape, with no leaking of fluids, and regular oil changes
- Suspension was redone 2020
- Brakes done 2021
- Minimal rest[sic]
- Belts in good shape
- New alternator 2020
- Tires in good shape
The Bad:
- Was involved in a hit and run and therefore damage was done to front steering mechanism / out of alignment. - Still drives but the handling is off and needs work
- Significant exhaust leak near the engine
- A number of front windshield cracks
Readers likely know that I own a ‘95 Hardbody 4x4, with similarly high mileage.
This one is the desireable V6 automatic 4x4. It would have cost nearly twice as much as the base model 2WD 4cyl back in the day. It likely has a limited-slip rear axle (H233), which is worth a third of the asking price already, if it’s in good order.
For $1000, this seems like a steal, even given the mileage.
2004 Citroen Saxo VTS

https://formulaauctions.com/auction-details/cd9ec0a7-b366-47a2-9493-4a4cc1182af1
This is a 2004 Citroën Saxo VTS finished in Polar White (paint code #WP). It is powered by a 1.6-liter inline-four cylinder engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The curb weight of the Citroën Saxo is factory rated at just 2,061 lbs. This Citroën Saxo was imported by the seller from Japan, who mentions he has owned it for 10 months and added 500 km in that time. The Saxo has all its original parts and is said to be modification-free. The seller mentions that a BC out-of-province vehicle import inspection was performed, and that he is selling the car to fund his next project. An English owner’s manual and a French workshop manual are included in the sale.
File this under “rarities & oddities”. Left-hand drive French car, imported from Japan. These sold for the equivalent of about $12-17k CAD in today’s money (depending on options), so the $7000-8000 asking price isn’t entirely cheap, but also not entirely unreasonable.
Probably too small to fit a large man like Yours Truly, but could be a fun car for a smaller driver. I’m sure the fuel economy is as excellent as the ride quality.
